Summary
The Press Operator is an entry level position in the molding department. Personnel hired into this position are trained on the operation of an injection molding press, secondary process equipment, and quality inspection on multiple parts.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate an injection molding press to produce quality EMP parts
- Follow work instructions to safely and efficiently complete production
- Report daily production accurately
- Set up necessary equipment based on established standards
- Verify products meet quality standards
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Report to work as scheduled and on time.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Must be safety conscience
- Must be able to keep detailed records
- Must have good hand and eye coordination, good eyesight, corrective lens acceptable
- Must be able to read/write English and make simple math calculations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to maintain a clean work environment
- Must be able to work in a dusty, hot/cold environment
- Must be able to work as a team member
- Must have a willingness to cross train on multiple processes
- Must be able to work some overtime if needed, possibly 12-hour shifts or weekends
Payrate / Hours
- Starting Payrate - $15.00/hr
- $0.50 increase with completion of training & 90-days
- 1st shift 7am – 3:30pm
- 2nd shift 3pm – 11:30pm w/ $1.00 shift differential
- 3rd shift 11pm-7:30am w/ $2.00 shift differential
1st Shift - Monday thru Friday, 7am-3:30pm
2nd Shift - Monday thru Friday, 3pm-11:30pm
3rd Shift - Sunday thru Thursday, 11pm-7:30am
