What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator 2nd Shift position at Jamco International, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse distribution environment
- Use reach trucks and hi-lo equipment to move and stack materials
- Safely load and unload trucks and containers
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate inventory counts
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and complete tasks
Experience:
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting is preferred
- Familiarity with reach trucks, hi-lo equipment, and other types of forklifts
- Knowledge of basic math skills for inventory management
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is a plus
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
