PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR


JOB DESCRIPTION

Jamerson-Lewis Construction, a full-service commercial contractor based in Lynchburg, Virginia, is seeking a Project Administrator to assist and support project team members and is responsible for general administrative duties, including maintaining accurate and complete records of project documents. The position works under direct supervision and performs routine daily administrative activities. This position must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and client service skills.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers and Superintendents on construction projects from conception to completion

• Help to keep subcontractors/suppliers organized and on-track to deliver all RFI’s and submittals in a timely fashion

• Daily work on our Project Management Software for all projects

• Ensure the project team has the most up-to-date project documents

• Prepare internal and external log reports pertaining to job status

• Draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses

• Manage subcontractor and supplier information

• Maintain submittal logs for projects

• Prepare and submit project Close-out Information (punch lists, warranties, as-builts, etc.) and booklets for architect and owner

• Issue and maintain subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders for projects after approval


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Highly detail-and deadline-oriented.
  • Must possess excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with varying groups internally and externally.
  • Self-starter who also enjoys being part of a team.
  • Applies a customer-centric mindset to all work efforts.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction (AEC) industry (preferred)

• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

• Demonstrated ability to have strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven experience with time management and organizational skills

• High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree (preferred)
