PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
The Benefits Producer is responsible for driving new business sales, retention, and existing client revenue growth. The Benefits Producer must effectively build relationships with clients, prospects, and spheres of influence.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Four-year college degree is required.
- At least three years of B2B sales experience with a demonstrated history of sales success is preferred.
- Knowledge of Employee Benefits is preferred.
- Exceptional relationship building skills and the ability to work well with our client’s executives, including CFOs, CEOs and HR Leaders.
- Ability to lead internal service team (including account managers, health risk performance specialists and financial risk performance specialists): establishing expectations, managing timelines, reviewing work product, and assisting in the technical development of team members.
- Life and Health license or the ability to obtain within 90 days is required.
- Desire to serve our clients, colleagues, and communities well.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the overall growth of Scott Insurance by meeting or exceeding established sales goals.
- Achieve new business sales goals annually in our target market of companies with 100 to 500 employees.
- Increase client retention and cross-selling opportunities.
- Superior knowledge of existing and forthcoming market trends and challenges.
- Develop a clear understanding of clients or prospects needs to provide a consultative, resourceful, and individualized plan for each.
- Explain and demonstrate how Scott’s employee-owned culture is beneficial for prospects and clients.
- Develop innovative and entrepreneurial sales business plans for effective prospecting.
- Model our values of continuous improvement, trust and teamwork when guiding colleagues in providing best in class service to clients.
- Mentor and develop Account Executives and early career Producers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
