RISK MANAGEMENT & INSURANCE - ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT INTERN

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
As an Account Management Intern, you will support the P&C and Employee Benefit divisions at Scott Insurance. Through real-world exposure and projects, you’ll learn what it means to assist clients, manage renewals, and work with production teams.
All Account Management interns will report to the Operations Project Manager, based out of Lynchburg, VA.
This will be an on-site position (5 days in-office per week)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with day-to-day account management activities including processing endorsements, managing renewal timelines, and responding to client inquiries.
- Work closely with account management and production teams to learn industry trends and best practices.
- Attend internal meetings and networking events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree or Master’s program (ideally with a focus in Risk Management & Insurance, HR Management or Business).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Willingness to travel across the Scott Insurance footprint.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and Outlook).
