Job Summary
Accountable for all phases of district sales and operations. Responsible for conducting store visits focused on people, customer service, visual merchandising, payroll and operating expenses, loss prevention and store sales. Ensures all Company standards and best practices are executed with excellence in all assigned locations. Provides leadership and guidance to stores in to ensure district sales and profit goals are achieved while meeting customer service goals. This position will cover areas to include portions of San Antonio and South Texas.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Recruit and select highly talented people and build succession plans designed to meet Retail growth goals. Collaborate with DM peers to develop a talent pipeline.
- Ensure consistent application of performance management practices including but not limited to annual performance appraisals, counseling, and development plans.
- Ensures compliance of James Avery policies and procedures.
- Handles Employee Relations issues, ensuring partnership with HR and LP.
- Provide leadership to Store Managers in planning, organization, control, and management at the individual store level.
- Coordinate activities with assigned stores to ensure all goals & deadlines are communicated and met.
- Responds quickly and effectively to all Customer inquiries.
- Ensures that an excellent level of Customer Service is provided in all assigned locations.
- Controls payroll to budget, as the primary controllable expense, as well as adjusting to current business trends.
- Leverage all data to understand, problem solve and proactively support trends.
- Regularly communicate company objectives, sales plans, and performance Metrics results with store management; monitor results to see that goals are met.
- Provide customer feedback on a regular basis to ensure customer service goals are met.
- Ensure that all inventory, supplies, and promotional materials are available to retail stores and utilized properly.
- Ensure that store managers and staff are properly trained to discharge duties.
- Review performances regularly and provide timely feedback.
- Serve as liaison between corporate departments and the retail stores.
- Keep supervisor informed of product, customer, or personnel issues.
- Knowledge of inventory control and security procedures for protection of company assets.
- Communicates regularly with VP of retail.
- Assist in other areas as assigned by the supervisor.
- Adaptability/flexibility within our retail environment and with our business partners.
- Solve problems that arise in professional and gracious manner.
- Provide positive and constructive feedback.
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
- Two years retail multi-unit management experience (greater than $15 Million).
- Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with employees and management.
- Knowledge of budgeting, inventory control and visual presentation techniques.
- Ability to direct the activities of the retail stores to achieve optimal results.
- Ability to recommend long term goals for the retail division (i.e., expansions, store additions, or relocations).
- Ability to travel to stores.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Working knowledge of JAC products and sources of information.
