Performs advanced professional work in the development, management, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of County parks, facilities, and community use of schools.
Responsibilities
- Provides effective leadership and supervision of assigned staff and volunteers including selection, performance management, employee relations, training, prioritizing and assigning work and related activities.
- Manages the administration, operations and service delivery of County-wide Park and community school facilities and programming within the Parks Division.
- Develops long-range plans, policies and procedures, improvements and strategies to obtain goals in the Parks Division.
- Leads the development and coordination of cooperative agreements, maintenance, facility schedules, facility reservations, programs / events and fiscal transactions.
- Prepares, develops, and monitors the Division’s annual budget, performance measures, statistics, program and services evaluations, marketing efforts and other daily administrative functions.
- Serves as liaison to County staff, community partners and training resource for matters pertaining to global parks and recreation best practices; services on committees, community agency boards, and councils.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
