Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly analytical hybrid SEC Financial Reporting Analyst to join our client’s accounting team. This role will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of SEC reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting financial reporting processes. It will also include process improvement for the accounting department as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance with exposure to the 10K/Q and disclosures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of SEC reports (10Q/K and other regulatory filings) in compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Assist in the review of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Research and interpret SEC, FASB, and GAAP accounting standards to maintain compliance.
- Monitor and analyze new regulatory and accounting standards that may impact financial reporting.
- Support the quarterly and annual reporting processes, including the preparation of financial footnotes.
- Assist with internal controls and compliance related to financial reporting.
- Assist with various other aspects of accounting including ASC 606, equity, and regulatory reporting.
- Participate in special projects related to financial reporting, process improvements for the accounting department, and implementations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress toward certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial reporting, public accounting, and/or exposure to 10K/Q.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workiva, NetSuite, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
