What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at James Edward & Companies Group?
The Warehouse Manager's main priorities are to assist Matadors management with warehouse operations which includes inventory management, fleet management, warehouse management, and day-to-day operations geared towards operational excellence.
Viva Distributing, LLC, began operations in March 2001 in El Paso, TX. Warehouse locations include Amarillo, Lubbock, Abilene, Midland/Odessa, San Angelo, and El Paso. Viva operates 45 routes that service over 3,000 customers throughout West Texas with a team of 95 dedicated employees.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving deliveries and ensure the proper warehouse rotation of product
- Assist the Operations Manager with daily inventory to ensure accurate counting and tracking inventory on trucks and in the warehouse
- Inspect cleanliness and overall condition of the warehouse
- Conduct quarterly business reviews to update Regional Accounts on business, channel competition, opportunities, and promotions
- Assist in repackaging and introducing repackaged product back into circulation within RBNA's standards
- Assist in the disposal of damage/out-of-date product
- Assist with the scheduling and delivery of fleet vehicles for routine maintenance.
- Secondary contact for warehouse access and security
Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
- Prior warehouse experience, preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent communication, organizational and mathematical skills
- Ability to regularly lift and move 25 lbs over your head
- Must be at least 21 years old, with current driver's license and a clean driving record
