Position Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

The Y: We’re for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
General Function:
This position supports the work of the Y through relating the purpose and mission of the YMCA to staff, volunteers, members, guests, and community so the Y can further its mission. This is a full-time hourly position of 40 hours per week.
Skill requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Public Relations, Communications, Marketing and Sales)
- minimum of 3 to 5 years of work-related experience
- staff management experience

Principal activities:
- responsible for the association’s membership operations
- recruit, hire, train, supervise, and direct both volunteer leaders and employees
· works with the Executive Director in outlining membership acquisition, retention, defining members’ needs, and measuring membership satisfaction
- establishes membership policies with direction from the Executive Director
- works with the Executive Director to create and implement marketing and promotional materials and events
- attends Membership Committee meetings
- participates actively in community organizations
- promotes program and membership enrollment
- conducts monthly staff meetings/trainings
- oversees the Membership Billing Clerk and Front Desk staff
- works with other Departments on marketing events/programs
- is the lead for the YMCA’s CRM system as it pertains to Membership
- works with the Annual Campaign Committee to market to members
- other duties as assigned
