Job Summary:
Do you love working as a deckhand but want to be able to go home each night? James Fleet is seeking experienced deckhands for its harbor service location in Mound City, IL! The work schedule is 5-day shifts and 5-night shifts with 5 days off.
What you'll do:
- Build and check tow by utilizing various tools/equipment including wrenches, ratchets, shackles, chain straps and wires/cables.
- Move and stack sets of rigging throughout vessels and barges.
- Move pumps and hoses throughout barges and place hoses in wing tank/void for removal of water.
- Assist with the stocking and delivery of various supplies from on the vessel to and from the front hole.
- Complete processes to allow the vessel to take on fuel.
- Complete daily and periodic cleaning tasks.
What you'll need:
- Prior deckhand experience required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reside within 30 minutes or less from Mound City, IL.
