Duties
- Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Prepare and organize treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Perform X-ray imaging as required, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, utilizing systems such as Epic and Eaglesoft for data entry and management.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans tailored to their needs.
- Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach, ensuring their comfort during visits.
- Assist in prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and providing chairside support.
- Uphold knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with the dental team and patients.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness in the clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and dental terminology is essential.
- Experience with dental software systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and effectively is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, particularly when interacting with pediatric patients, are essential for this role.
