JOB SUMMARY:
- Prepares, cooks and serves food in a sanitary manner according to posted menu using furnished standardized recipes and procedures
- Assures food is served at proper temperatures and at scheduled times
- Responsible for serving diets according to physician’s diet orders
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Health care dietary experience preferred
Food handler’s certification card
Specific Requirements:
Must enjoy working with residents and have good interpersonal skills
Must be able to work with and relate to residents with dementia
Must be able to work independently, efficiently and effectively
Must be able to follow written procedures and communications
Must present self in a professional manner and appearance at all times
Must be dependable, honest and trustworthy
Must be able to supervise staff in the absence of Dietary Manager
Must have positive attitude with concept of culture change
