As a Generator Technician, your typical responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and repairing generators, changing air filters, changing oil, checking battery levels, checking spark plugs, etc.
- Performing on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers generators (including DC & AC voltage equipment).
- Working independently serving residential and commercial standby generators.
- Being involved in the installation of residential and commercial generators.
- Safely operating a company vehicle.
Requirements include:
- Must have a valid drivers license and ability to be insured and able to safely operate a company vehicle.
- High school diploma required, technical/mechanical training preferred.
- Experience with engines and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance. Experience with Briggs & Stratton as well as Generac generators is highly preferred.
- Must have electrical experience with both AC & DC systems.
- Basic computer skills required.
