Attention Rising High School Juniors and Seniors: Join the team at James River Equipment in Western NC this summer!
Locations seeking interns include: Charlotte, Wilkesboro, Salisbury, Greensboro, Newton (warehouse intern), and Statesville
Since 1977, James River Equipment has been providing outstanding John Deere products and services to farmers, businesses, homeowners, and our communities. Each one of our nearly 50 authorized John Deere dealerships provides a workplace where employees are family and customers return because of the skill, service and trust our employees provide. As a Service Intern, you'll gain knowledge around our equipment shop and have exposure to all the important roles on our team that keep equipment up and running. From our yard associates to our parts department team, service writers and technicians, you'll have the opportunity to shadow different roles and lend a helping hand in this part-time paid internship position.
Applications are being accepted NOW through our deadline of April 13th, 2025. Positions for our summer intern program will begin employment in late May/early June.
Qualifications include:

Students must be 17 years old with a valid driver's license
- Completion or upcoming enrollment in trade classes such as mechanics, automotive, carpentry, small engine, electrical, or related
- 3 written or typed letters of recommendation from a high school instructor, career counselor, or employer is REQUIRED (can upload with resume or provide at time of interview)
- Listens and communicates well with others
- Exhibits strong attention to detail and willing to ask questions
- Able to adhere to safety guidelines such as wearing proper footwear and safety eyewear
