A brief overview of Responsibilities:
- Leadership, Management, and Operations:
- Provide strong leadership and foster a positive work environment for the home health agency.
- Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, client care coordination, and administrative functions.
- Staff Supervision, Recruitment, and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, home health aides, and administrative staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement professional development opportunities.
- Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Client Care:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and clients to develop comprehensive care plans, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Budget Management and Financial Sustainability:
- Develop and manage the home health agency budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation for financial sustainability.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication among staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare facilities, and community organizations to enhance the continuum of care.
Qualifications for Hospice Administrator:
- A healthcare professional with a minimum of two (2) years of health-related experience, knowledge and the ability to effectively administer the Hospice Service which shall include at least one year, within the last five years, of supervisory/administrative experience in hospice care or a related health care delivery system.
