JRELC – Position Overview

Areas of Responsibility:
- Organization, Safety and Health
- Child Guidance: Ability to solve child conflicts using positive behavior strategies.
- Record Keeping
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation: Uses resources to plan developmentally appropriate experiences both indoors and out.
- Professionalism: attends training, staff meetings.
- Family connections: Maintains ongoing communication with families, participates in parent orientations, parent conferences, and parent involvement activities.
- Functions as a member of the school team.
- Desire to learn and work with diverse population.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/equivalent, required; Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) OR at least 9 credit hours of college coursework in Early Childhood preferred
- Minimum of one(1) year working with young children in a child care setting
- 19 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass DHR background screening
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29,120.00 - $35,360.00 per year
