About the Role:
We are partnering with a premier Property & Casualty Insurance provider, celebrated for its forward-thinking approach and commitment to growth. Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Casualty Underwriter to join their Midwest team. This is an exceptional opportunity to manage and expand a portfolio, working with diverse commercial accounts while delivering tailored insurance solutions to meet unique client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Underwrite, assess, and manage both new and renewal business for complex commercial casualty accounts.
- Risk Evaluation: Analyze risk exposure and determine appropriate coverage, pricing, and terms to align with company objectives.
- Broker Relationships: Build and sustain strong relationships with brokers, collaborating on submissions and delivering exceptional service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve underwriting profitability and growth targets.
- Market Expertise: Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and competitive market dynamics.
- Travel: Attend client and broker meetings within the assigned territory to strengthen partnerships and promote products.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5 years of experience in Commercial Casualty underwriting, with a deep understanding of risk assessment and portfolio management.
- Expertise: Proven ability to underwrite complex risks and manage relationships with brokers in a competitive market.
- Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, coupled with proficiency in underwriting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional Experience: Excess casualty underwriting expertise is a plus.
