About the Role:
We are proud to partner with a top-tier P&C Insurance provider seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Commercial Casualty Underwriter to join their team. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to evaluate and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, working closely with brokers and clients to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment: Review and underwrite commercial insurance applications for large casualty accounts, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
- Pricing and Coverage: Analyze risk exposures and determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing to meet both client needs and company profitability targets.
- Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with brokers to ensure excellent service and client satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams and other departments to support underwriting objectives and company growth.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor account performance and recommend adjustments to improve results as necessary.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed on market trends, regulations, and underwriting practices to maintain competitive offerings.
- Travel: Attend marketing and sales meetings within assigned territories to strengthen broker relationships and promote business.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5 years of experience in Commercial Casualty underwriting, with expertise in risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with a track record of building and maintaining broker relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using underwriting tools, data analysis platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Multitasking: Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Expertise: Experience in excess casualty is a plus.
