What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Shaq Driver position at James Skinner Baking Company?
Position Summary :
The driver is responsible for all tractor related activities in coordination with the operation of the bakery. Driver reports to the Logistics manager. The driver has the responsibility of safe operation, tracking, and reporting of all equipment issues and status. The driver takes direction from the supervisors and manager for the proper staging and coordination of trailers back and forth from the plant and related destinations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Drivers report to supervisors for all daily activities and duties scheduled for that day. Drivers coordinate trailer moves in a timely safe fashion as directed completing a daily checklist submitted back to supervision.
- Drivers represent the J Skinner Baking Company on the road and are held to a high standard of operation within all traffic laws and road behavior. Driver will be responsible for pickup of needed material's from outside vendors as instructed by management and supervisors
- Driver will manage all activity with loaded and empty trailers ensuring all food safety and security concerns are addressed before being left unattended. Any concerns are reported immediately to appropriate management. Drivers are responsible for communicating equipment issues, fueling needs, and accident issues to appropriate management in a timely fashion
- Other duties as assigned
