To provide well-organized administrative support to ensure the proficient operation of the department or office.

  • Making phone calls, answering and directing phone calls
  • Taking and distributing messages
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments
  • Organizing and coordinating meetings
  • Reviewing files and records to answer requests for information
  • Preparing, proofing and distributing documents and correspondence
  • Receiving, sorting and distributing incoming mail
  • Maintaining filing systems
  • Photocopying, scanning and faxing
  • Sending emails
  • Monitoring and ordering inventory of office supplies
  • Keeping office area neat and tidy
  • Acquire computer/technology competencies as appropriate to position.
  • Maintain security of personal computer access.
  • Perform other professional or job-related duties as assigned.
  • Serve on college committees as directed by supervisor.
