JOB TITLE: Regional Sales Representative
Job Summary:
This position generally performs a wide variety of duties including Sales, Sales Follow-Up, Travel, Customer Communication, etc. This position will be responsible for establishing and managing sales accounts relationships within the assigned territory. It will also identify, isolate, and pursue new customers, and conduct cold-calls for potential leads. Candidates that tend to be successful in this position are adaptable to a small company environment; hands-on management style; are task and results oriented; able to work and communicate with people at all levels from shop floor, to customers, and top management. This is a highly driven and motivated position that requires a person that will roll up their sleeves and has considerable planning, judgment and ability to work independently while driving continuous drive and focus for optimization of all processes, sales, and customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions and responsibilities include the following (while others may be assigned):
• Maintain current customer accounts to ensure optimal service relationships and sales are achieved
• Establish new accounts and maintain all new accounts to ensure customer satisfaction
• Provide reports and other metrics for senior management
• Promote our company's ability to satisfy customer needs and requirements in the metal working industry
• Act as a Liaison between customers and the James Tool manufacturing facilities
• Achieve sales objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance, and projecting future performance
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and machining services that James Tool may add
Job Requirements:
• Must possess knowledge and understanding of sales and possess the professional capability to deal with issues concerning sales
• Must possess skills for managing sales such as planning, organizing, communicating and directing sales
• Must have basic understanding of production machining, precision machining, & design of hydraulic workholdings
• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
Education:
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possess strong computer and software skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and possess good communication skills
- Ability to manage and handle consistent change to day to day operations and processes
- Ability to build relationships with peers, cross-functional counterparts, and upper management.
