Jamestown Container, one of the largest independent manufacturers of corrugated products and distributor of packaging supplies in the northeastern United States, is looking to add experienced
Forklift operators for their facility in Macedonia, OH.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
- Deliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and on time.
- Remove finished goods from machines.
- Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
- Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate location of stock in storage area by paperwork and computer.
- Adheres to the daily production schedule.
- Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one (1) year of experience operating a forklift.
- Willing and able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of basic math.
- Willing to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy environment.
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for at least eight (8) hours a day.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
