Jamestown Container, One of the largest independent manufacturers of corrugated products in the northeastern United States, is looking to add a Shipping Supervisor to its team. This position will work out of our Macedonia Ohio location.

Our customers include many well-known local companies, as well as Fortune 100 companies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Be a safety leader working to eliminate accidents and reduce at risk work conditions.
· Schedule inbound and outbound freight in the most cost-efficient and time-saving manner possible.
· Supervise Forklift Operators in loading and unloading trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
· Establish high morale within department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in the employees. Maintain confidentiality.
· Attend daily Production Meeting and assist Operations in meeting our customers’ requirements.
· Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service to ensure the on-time delivery of customer orders.
· Prepare and organize all documentation relating to the outbound shipments (bills of lading, delivery receipts, etc.
· Make recommendations for optimizing freight arrangements to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals.
· Develop strong rapport with various freight lines.
· Responsible for maintaining an organized warehouse.
· Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety program, and good housekeeping.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or a combination of 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
