What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exceptional Education Teacher __- MSD (Moderate Severe Disability, K-12 grades) position at Jamestown Elementary?
SUPERVISOR: Principal
QUALIFICATION:
- Must hold a valid Kentucky Teaching Certification/Statement of Eligibility in the area stated above.
- Have the ability to develop and implement the IEP for individual students.
- Must be willing to collaborate with regular classroom teachers.
- Have knowledge and ability to implement Common Core Standards (ELA, Math, Science & Social Studies)
- Must have knowledge of curriculum and best teaching strategies for improving student learning.
- Must be available to participate in PD training sessions in aligning curriculum both vertically/horizontally for Alternate K-PREP.
- Must have knowledge/implementation of ARC meetings and Discipline Management Skills.
- Have the ability to develop a positive, professional relationship with students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Must follow all board policies.
- Must be willing to participate in extracurricular activities related to JES.
- Must successfully complete all required employment forms/applications.
- Render health services as necessary after appropriate training.
