This is a full time benefited position work 80 hours per two weeks. Day are Monday - Friday with variable hours with no weekends or holidays.

JOB FUCTIONS
- Manage and maintain accurate records and databases for plant operations, EVS, and laundry departments
- Coordinate maintenance schedules, repairs, and projects for plant operations
- Oversee EVS and laundry operations, including supply inventory management and staff support
- Provide administrative support for staff, including time-off requests, training, and performance management
- Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Utilizing the word processor, spreadsheet, and data base programs, types a variety of materials including letters, reports, memos, forms, etc. for the Plant Services, Biomedical, Environmental Services and Laundry Departments.
- Coordinates plans, scheduling, and implements activities between Facility’s and other hospital departments.
- Assist Manager in the organization and maintenance of inventory, including tools, equipment and supplies, orders office supplies and assistants Manager in the purchase of materials and other supplies.
- Coordinates the preventive maintenance scheduling including assignment of control numbers for each piece of equipment, preparing equipment tags, entering information into the computer,
- Monitors production, workflow and scheduling to improve efficiency and quality of work performed by department employees and outside contractors; prepares monthly activity report for review and follow-up by the Manager.
- Maintains policies and procedures and record keeping systems for the department and as required by OSHA, JCAHO, FDA, AND ADA; responsible for maintaining and updating the master copies of the Material Safety Data Book and for distributing required information to the applicable departments.
- Overseas other activities in the department include prepping reports for EOC, and JCAHO inspections
- Backup for Material Services to process outgoing mail and answering phone for loading dock. Accepts and screens telephone calls and routes call as appropriate. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION: (Plant Maintenance Secretary)
- PREPARATION AND TRAINING - High school diploma or equivalent requires; associate’s degree preferred. Administrate experience in plant operations, EVS and laundry setting. Strong organization and communication. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Position is required to attend Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training in the appropriate timeframe according to department orientation checklist.
- WORK EXPERIENCE - One to two years in a responsible administrative position.
- ATTENDANCE - Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at JRMC. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees are also expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule.
- ANALYTICAL ABILITY - Analytical ability is required to maintain office and statistical data, gather and interpret data from several sources.

Must show composure in emergency situations in order to respond quickly and appropriately. Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
- WORKING CONDITIONS - Good working conditions in a well-lit office with modern equipment. Work is sedentary Is subject to frequent interruptions. Participates in and comply with JRMC Safety Management Program. Maintains knowledge of and observes Standard Precautions. Practices aseptic techniques whenever appropriate. OSHA JOB CLASSIFICATION: This position is defined as a Category II: Employee does not have exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- PHYSICAL AND SENSORY EFFORT - During emergencies, it requires ability to immediately access areas which have stairways, and isle of 24 inches in width. Must be able to occasionally accomplish movement of supplies or equipment, that is a minimum of 40 pounds.
