As a CMA at JFHC, you'll be a key part of a collaborative, patient-centered care team that values compassion, excellence, and service.
In this role, you’ll provide critical support to our providers and directly contribute to the quality of care we deliver by:
- Performing initial triage and preparing patients for exams
- Accurately documenting vital signs, history, and presenting concerns
- Maintaining thorough and timely electronic medical records
- Managing prescription refills, pre-authorizations, and orders
- Supporting patient care coordination and follow-up
- Administering medications and immunizations as directed
- Conducting clinical procedures such as EKGs, venipuncture, and wound care
- Communicating test results and coordinating referrals
- Ensuring exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for care
- Upholding HIPAA and safety standards in all interactions
- Assisting with policy improvements and working closely with external care agencies
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES preferred) or LPN program
- Active Washington State Health Care Assistant certification (Levels A, C, and E)
- Current Basic First Aid/CPR (American Heart Association)
- Understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding and billing processes
- Effective communication, both written and verbal
