Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cable Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various telecommunication systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cabling and electrical systems, as well as experience in field service environments. You will work closely with clients to ensure their communication needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair cabling systems for telecommunication networks.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct field service visits to assess and resolve customer concerns regarding their cabling infrastructure.
- Ensure proper installation of Ethernet connections and other telecommunication services.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations or repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their service needs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cable Technician or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to read schematics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment relevant to cable installation and maintenance.
- Experience working in field service environments, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Ethernet technologies and telecommunication standards is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
