ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
• Manage all internal and external recruitment efforts including reviewing open requisitions
• Conduct interviews for exempt and non-exempt positions and make recommendations to hiring supervisors and managers accordingly
• Ability to create, present, and implement effective and efficient recruitment strategies that result in reduction in open positions and turnover
• Train new supervisors/managers on proper hiring/interviewing procedures and process
• Responsible for educating our external network and community members on job openings and requirements
• Independently make decisions on qualified candidates for internal transfers from an educational, experience, and performance standpoint.
• Place job advertisements as necessary
• Responsible for maintaining application information to include legal requirements for maintenance Respond to all employee and applicant inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
• Responsible for attending and maintaining all public relations, property events, and necessary seminars and trainings
• Responsible for project management, establishing and meeting timelines, attention to detail and to follow-through
• Build applicant pipeline through proven recruitment best practices
• Develop and manage all job postings through various internet sources
• Facilitate all onboarding (new hire paperwork, background checks, new hire orientation)
• Develop and maintain recruitment trends and analyze the effectiveness of our recruiting efforts
• Act as a role model and present oneself as a credit to Hollywood Casino Jamul and encourage others to do the same
• Adhere to all departments/company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education experience in Human Resources Recruitment.
• A minimum of 2-3 years full-cycle and high-volume recruitment with progressive responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a human resources office preferred.
• Previous experience with applicant tracking systems. Experience with Ultipro and UKG strongly preferred.
• Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Experience in a professional office environment, preferably utilizing clerical skills.
• Proficient in vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and proofreading. Must be able to compose and prepare correspondence appropriate for the Human Resources Department.
• Ability to operate office equipment including a photocopier, fax machine and calculator.
• Excellent telephone manners and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfort with flexibility in priorities and work assignments a must.
