Client Specialist

Starting Pay: $13.58 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am – 4:30pm EST

The Social Security Client DDS Specialist’s primary role is to act as a liaison between the client and DDS personnel at the lower levels of a disability claim. This role provides client assistance through maintaining communication with the client and disability adjudicators. This role also ensures that responses are attended to timely and accurately to avoid any unnecessary delays. The job incumbent must be detailed, organized, dependable, and possess effective communication skills.

Social Security Client DDS Specialist Responsibilities Include:

• Manage the Jan Dils Huntington Office & communicate any issues that may arise
• Take client walk-ins & assist with any questions/paperwork
• Take all incoming calls from DDS (Disability Determination Services)
• Identify required records for requests & update the client’s electronic file as needed
• Follow up with clients to gather information needed by DDS
• Contact clients to confirm CE appointments
• Follow up on 10 Day Letters & DDS Forms
• Update address changes with DDS
• Report changes from reconsideration appeals
• Request & follow up on barcodes

Now you might be wondering about the pay? The Social Security Client DDS Specialist starting pay rate is $13.58 per hour. For this position, you receive a performance appraisal EVERY SIX MONTHS! That’s right! You will always know how you’re doing with your performance. And do you know what else? If you score well on your performance review, you will get a 25 to 44 cent increase every 6 months until you reach the cap of the pay range.
