Kitchen Team Member Job Description
Position Overview:
As part of the Kitchen Team, you will be an integral part of the guest experience, through the creation of healthy and delicious food.
We encourage our kitchen team to be well-rounded team players, willing to get their hands dirty and do whatever it takes to keep your store running smoothly. No matter what position you start in with us, you will have the opportunity to be cross-trained and will be tasked to take on different positions (depending on interest, skill level and experience) within our team. You may be asked to work at other store locations on occasion. You will be given notice and reimbursed the time and mileage to the location (from home store to other location).
Responsibilities:
Kitchen Team Member responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards on the front line.
- Prep all cold and hot items according to recipe and direction of Kitchen Manager
- Follow proper knife safety
- Able to lift at least 35 pounds comfortably
- Learn recipes and maintain knowledge of all menu items
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for team members and customers
- Ensure freshness and quality of prepared food
- Follow Jan’s safety and rules regulations
- Follow customer service guidelines
- Follow the company’s security and safety procedures
- Arriving for the start of shift ready to work on time and staying until all duties are complete
- Follow direction and instructions
- Comply with company standards
- Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work as a team
- Communicate with team members in a constructive manner
- Smoothie & Kitchen Line – Follow recipes and use the correct serving equipment to ensure correct portions.
- Food preparation: 3 years (Required)
Salary : $15 - $18
