- Perform terminal cleaning of operating rooms after each surgery, including wiping down all surfaces, equipment, lights, and walls.
- Mop and disinfect floors with appropriate hospital-grade solutions.
- Ensure all high-touch surfaces are sanitized, including door handles, operating tables, and surgical equipment stands.
- Follow strict infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
2. Stocking & Supply Management:
- Refill hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, and other hygiene products in surgical areas.
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure availability of necessary disinfectants and protective gear.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
3. Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to hospital and regulatory infection control policies, including guidelines from OSHA, CDC, and hospital accreditation bodies.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and gowns while cleaning.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, spills, or potential safety hazards in the OR.
- Participate in staff training sessions on infection prevention and hospital cleaning protocols.
To ensure the health and wellbeing of our clients: Daily maintain and clean offices, lobbies, restrooms and other work areas by emptying trash cans and collecting recyclables, dusting, sweeping and moping.
- Janitorial work schedules are 2nd shift and are typically from 6pm to 11pm, Sunday through Thursday
- Average hours are between 15 to 32 each week dependent on determined building requirements
