Job Status: Full-Time
Schedule: M-Th – 6am – 4:30pm, overtime as requested on Fridays

POSITION SUMMARY
The CNC Programmer creates programs, determines routings, specifies tooling, and performs quoting for all work orders that are assigned for the department. The goal of the machining department is to maintain a safe work environment and produce quality parts as efficiently as possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Create programs for machine operators that prioritize quality and efficiency.
· Organize the storage of programs for easy retrieval by operators.
· Determine routing based on part requirements.
· Support sales, R&D and purchasing by developing quotes based on times and tooling needs for all new and updated orders.
· Analyze processes and conduct research to identify best practice techniques and tooling.
· Ensure quality by proving out new and adjusted programs.
· Provide training, perform set-ups and instructions as a knowledgeable resource for other operators.
· Use various measuring instruments to perform all dimensional inspections and document as required.
· Identify and implement opportunities to support safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
· Comply with safety procedures and rules.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and neat work area.
· Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Blueprint Reading
· Knowledge of Machine G Code Programming
- Read measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, and tape measure
- Operate tools: disc grinder, allen wrench, bore gauge, and various hand tools
Education: Associates degree in CAD programming; or equivalent experience
Experience: Metal fabrication manufacturing environment with 3 years operating and programming CNC machines, preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, MasterCam
