Schedule: M-TH, 6am – 4:30pm | Overtime as requested on Fridays. NO WEEKENDS!
Position Summary
Janco is seeking a Material Handler who is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout our manufacturing facility. This role plays a key part in supporting production operations by ensuring materials and supplies are accurately received, labeled, staged, and delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner. The Material Handler must maintain organized work areas, operate forklifts or other material handling equipment, and adhere to safety and inventory control procedures. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams are essential to ensuring smooth and accurate material flow within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against packing lists or purchase orders.
- Accurately label, sort, and store materials in designated locations using proper material handling procedures.
- Stage and deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to appropriate workstations or production lines in a timely manner.
- Load and unload trucks and pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas, ensuring inventory is clearly labeled and accessible.
- Assist in inventory cycle counts and stock rotation to support inventory accuracy and minimize material waste.
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while handling materials and operating equipment.
- Report damaged or missing materials and equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.

Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, etc. - Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and sit, stand, bend, or walk for extended periods.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience in material handling, warehousing or a manufacturing environment preferred. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers or smartphones is preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: None required.
Work Environment
The work required for this position is performed on the shop floor which is not climate controlled. Safety-toe shoes, protective eye wear, gloves when handling material are required.
