Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness of multiply site locations in Akron. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, with expertise in commercial cleaning. This role is essential in ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Hours:
4pm-12am
Duties
- Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis regarding current tasks, and assist in the planning of future tasks.
- Ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized.
- Ensure that the school’s policies and procedures are adhered to by staff.
- Act as a communication conduit between management and staff.
- Maintain and control use of stock, equipment & consumables.
- Timeously request purchase of consumables, equipment and materials.
- Assist the Manager in training all cleaners on proper cleaning procedures.
- Monitor and report absenteeism to the Manager.
- Actively promote Health and Safety, and report any breach directly to the Manager.
- Willing to assist in cleaning when necessary.
Experience
- Proven 2 yrs experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is required.
- Familiarity with commerical cleaning techniques and equipment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership skills when supervising staff.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
