Description
Position Summary: The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing food transactions, and providing customer service to guests of the location. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.
Essential Functions:
- Operates a register and handles credit card and Jane Foods’ prepaid cards transactions
- Greet and assists customers while anticipating their needs
- Ensures security of company assets
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc
- Serves all customers in a respectable and timely manner.
- Properly stores and labels food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Sets up, keeps restocked, and organizes a serving line of food, condiments, silverware, paper goods, etc.
- Break downs, cleans, and sanitizes work stations
- Restocks paper goods (i.e. silverware, togo plates, cups, etc.)
- Helps cook/cashier with cleaning up serving line and resetting for next shift
- Adheres to Jane Foods safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Maintain professional conduct at all times
- Responsible for keeping kitchen prep areas clean, neat, and organized
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Follows all work and food safety rules and procedures
- Maintains professional conduct at all times
- Notifies manager of any quality or quantity issues/comments from customers
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills & Specifications:
- Minimum 1 year of food service experience
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Basic math and counting skills required
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, equipment, and practices preferred
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
- Able to squat, bend ,stoop, push, kneel, and reach
- Ability to sit, stand, & walk for prolonged periods
- Able to read, write, and effectively communicate
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Typical Work week is Monday-Friday; 530am-130pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
