What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiting Coordinator position at janestreet?
About the Position
We are looking for recruiting coordinators to join our Recruiting team as we identify, interview, and hire exceptional talent in our New York office.
Hiring the right people is one of the most important parts of our business, and we’ve developed a very thoughtful and dynamic process to engage highly talented individuals from all corners of the world who will thrive here.
We’re seeking organized and enthusiastic new or recent graduates who are eager to dive into the ins and outs of recruiting at Jane Street and help us find solutions to all sorts of interesting problems. The ideal candidates for these roles will approach every task—big or small— with a proactive and hands-on mindset, and be quick to step in and offer help wherever it is needed.
Your day-to-day work will be key to the entire life cycle of searches across various teams, and will include tasks like keeping our applicant tracking system updated, scheduling interviews, managing recruiting calendars, coordinating live interviews as they happen, and managing reporting tools. There will also be exciting opportunities to partner with recruiters to explore ways we can improve our projects, team processes, and broader hiring strategies. While there will be a lot to learn, we value a willingness to dive in with curiosity, humility, and an inclination to ask questions, admit mistakes, and seek input from others.
Our ability to get the little things right is what drives our success. We’re looking for recruiters who are meticulous and efficient while also appreciating the importance of putting people first and creating warm and welcoming candidate experiences.
This is a great opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team within a growing firm, where we’ll continue to support your professional development over time through training and mentorship. We hope this role is just the beginning of your long, successful career here.
