Janitorial Company is seeking an experienced Recruiter/HR Assistant to support our Clients within the bay area and east bay regions.
The Recruiter/HR Assistant position is a challenging, fast-paced opportunity for a creative, highly organized candidate with excellent time-management skills and who enjoys working with people. The ideal candidate will support the Talent Acquisition Manager and will be focused on finding and matching talented applicants with our openings.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview & Evaluate: contact and conduct interviews with applicants, screen their background, references and experience and evaluate their strengths as it relates to the position they’re applying for
- Recruit: post job descriptions on job boards and track posting status and results; keep up-to-date on recruitment trends and opportunities for reaching new pools of candidates
- Communicate: brief candidates and hiring managers before and after interviews, negotiate wage rates and other terms and conditions of employment
- In charge of full-cycle recruiting.
- On boarding of all new employees
- Data Entry: Inputting new employees into payroll system.
- Assist with Health Plan open enrollment
- Employee Relations (conduct investigations)
- Workers Comp Claims
- Submit Employee terminations
- Help in the creation of new policies
- Other duties as assigned by HR Manager
Knowledge and Skills
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills; bi-lingual in English and Spanish required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Effective organizational and time management skills; attention to detail a must
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work independently as well as enjoy being part of a team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or equivalent education and/or experience in related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years recruiting experience
Temp Position to start immediately
Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
