Janitors Supply Co., Inc., a fourth-generation family-owned business founded in 1954, is a leading regional distributor of janitorial and facility maintenance supplies. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service / Inside Sales Support Representative.
This role is critical to ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers — from answering product questions and processing orders to assisting our outside sales team in delivering value-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and web orders.
- Provide knowledgeable and courteous support on product selection, order status, pricing, and availability.
- Enter and process customer orders accurately using our ERP system (DDI Inform).
- Work closely with our outside sales reps to support territory account growth and customer satisfaction.
- Follow up on quotes, open orders, and service issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in managing customer-specific pricing, order guides, and account documentation.
- Handle returns, credits, and product issues professionally and efficiently.
- Participate in product training and stay informed on our full catalog of solutions.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer service, inside sales, or a related role (experience in B2B or distribution preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/CRM systems a plus.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus.
