Equipment Repair Technician - Rochester Area
Job Summary
The Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for minor repairs and maintenance on various equipment primarily used in janitorial functions such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and buffers. Travel to various sites to perform these functions is required.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :
Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots a wide variety of industrial, mechanical, or electronic equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and tools to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with equipment and machinery.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble faulty components and systems.
- Calibrate machines and systems to meet operational standards.
- Inspect equipment for wear and tear, and replace parts as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment inspections.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, repair techniques, and safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and established procedures
- Maintain company standards and programs for safety and security
- Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards with minimal supervision
- Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect
