Diesel Mechanic

Janke Trucking is a family-owned, full-service trucking company for construction projects that is rapidly expanding in the south sound region. We offer competitive wages as well as medical, dental, and retirement.

We are Looking add more full-time or part time Journeyman Diesel Mechanics. Candidates will be
expected to keep dump trucks running and maintained. We have shops in Tacoma and Chehalis, WA so
candidates living in Lewis, Thurston or Pierce County would be ideal:
Knowledge with:

CAT
Cummins
Paccar
Kenworth
Peterbilt
diagnostic software
Dump Trucks
Pup trailers
Side dump trailers
Vac Trucks
Tires

Requirements:
 Self-Motivated – preventative maintenance/service on equipment with little or no supervision
 Maintain complete and accurate paperwork / maintenance records
 Repair and troubleshoot components such as electrical, brakes, tires, hydraulic systems and
fabrication
 Welding repair of trailer and/or truck parts
 Ability to do everything outside the motor and power train ideal. Internal motor work not
required
 Perform complete safety checks
 Ability to order parts and maintain positive relationships with drivers and vendors
 Ability to work in a shop and in the field as necessary
 Function as a team player
 “Can do” attitude – willing to learn new things
 Perform work and operate vehicles in a safe manner
 Supply his/her own tools (specialty tools can be provided)
 Valid WA state Driver’s License – CDL preferred (not required)
 Drug Free

This is a swing shift position willingness to work weekends is a
plus. A year-around full time position is preferred but we will consider a part-time candidate
