Job Description
- Janna's Little Angels are looking to employ a qualified Infant Teacher, who has a passion for instilling values in young children. The Infant Teacher should possess high energy and the ability to handle the demands of babies and toddlers with different personalities and needs.
- To ensure success, the infant teacher should display a gentle and nurturing personality, and the patience to assist each infant or child to mature cognitively. They should be able to assist in developing the infants’ and children's social skills as they interact with each other.
- 90-Day Probation Period
- Must have 25 hours of training completed before the probation period
- Register through PDR
- Must follow the curriculum provided by BETTER BEGINNINGS
- Must follow general rules of Janna's Little Angels policies and procedures.
- Clean and sanitize classrooms daily (Including toys, sink, bedding, changing station, etc)
- Verify parent’s signature on in/out attendance records daily
- Check children’s backpacks daily upon arrival for unsafe items such as medicines, weapons, etc.
- Observe children daily upon drop off for illness symptoms
- Ensure safety; check ID and person authorized for pick up if other person than parent
- Clean playground equipment once a week
- Check playground safety daily before use & lock gate if closing
- Remove all trash from classroom & other common areas daily or often as needed throughout the day
- Assist with monthly tornado evacuation & fire drills
- Be aware of activities of all children present in classroom at all times
- Complete daily reports, and other documentation as necessary
- Gather classroom blankets & towels for wash at end of week or as needed
- Give children the love and affection they need
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old and above
- HS Diploma or GED
- Preferred: CDA (or its equivalent).
- The individual shall not have disciplinary control over children.
- The individual shall not be left alone with children at any time.
- The individual shall be under the direct supervision of an adult staff member at all times
- The individual shall meet all other staff requirements
- The individual shall be enrolled in a high school or GED curriculum.
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
- Work authorization (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
