The Internal Advisory Consultant will be responsible for providing day-to-day marketing and service-related support to Financial Advisors (FAs) with respect to Janney’s Advisory platform. The Consultant will be domiciled in the Philadelphia, PA office. This position will be an initial point of contact for FAs, vendors, and other Janney personnel.

Responsibilities:
Provide investment consultation and advice to Financial Advisors as they navigate the Advisory Platform in search of the most appropriate options for their clients, and for their business model.
Function as subject matter expert for Advisory Solutions’ Investment Screener and Portfolio Construction Tool “PCT” and other related Wealth Management technology and deliver presentations (live and virtual). This includes responding to questions on how to use Janney technology to grow their advisory assets.
Provide timely and accurate responses to FAs and Private Client Assistants (PCAs), using attained and continually enhanced knowledge base; Research and communicate appropriate investment recommendations utilizing a wide variety of investment vehicles.
Interact with Janney’s ‘Strategic Partner’ firms, such as Separate Account Managers and Mutual Fund providers to request service and product support, learn product features and resolve all FA/client and service-related issues.
Facilitate operational, service and account-level issues using appropriate communication and technology tools. Must be highly effective in dealing with Operations, Research, and other Janney personnel, as required by business needs.
Must possess the confidence and a degree of comfort with respect to public speaking; all members of Advisory Consulting rotate the responsibility of speaking on firm sales calls and Webex sessions to highlight specific themes.
Minimal travel may be required to support our Regional Consultants
Proactive individual achiever who raises their hand on tasks such as delivering on call campaigns on various topics and themes based on data aggregation.
Qualifications and experience:
3- 5 years of experience in Investment or Financial Services Industry
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Ability to effectively multi-task and meet competing deadlines.
Strong oral and written communications skills
Initiative-taking/self-starter; able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Analytical, problem solving, and savvy organizational skills are critical.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) required. Additional and ongoing educational requirements as required.
Knowledge of Investment Products – Familiarity with Separately Managed Accounts (‘SMAs’), mutual funds, ETFs, and individual securities is required as part of the ongoing practice management and problem-solving aspects of the role.
