The individual selected for this role is responsible for supporting the Margin Department in daily operations and providing fundamental client support in all phases of operational service and account maintenance. A successful candidate will possess strong mathematical and technical skills, demonstrate superior commitment to client service, participate in process and system optimization, and exhibit considerable attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
Perform daily review of margin accounts and approve issuance of margin calls
Approve asset disbursements in retail accounts.
Be able to respond promptly, accurately and professionally in a high pressure environment to Financial Advisors and other branch personnel.
Provide exemplary customer service while managing inquiries through such sources as phone calls and emails.
Interacts with branch network regarding remediation of margin accounts requiring action due to down market exposures, and deficit equity.
Be highly organized in processing and following up with requests and issues.
Resourceful in resolving issues that cross operational department lines.
Proficient in general option knowledge and able to calculate naked option requirements.
Reviews buying power as well as maintenance levels for margin accounts.
Knowledge of Regulation T and FINRA rules.
Assist branch personnel in training relating to automated asset movement system.
Achieve subject matter expertise in the automated asset movement system and actively participate in the periodic enhancement roll outs and system error resolution.
Assist with various projects geared toward building upon current processes and controls to enhance regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and create operational efficiencies.
Keep up to date on current regulatory events that govern margin and overall market activity.
What you have
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
1-2 years related work experience in the financial services industry preferred, particularly in Operations
Series 7 license preferred or willingness to complete after 6 - 12 months of employment
Fundamental working knowledge of the financial industry preferred
Client focused, demonstrates superior commitment to client service and maintains professionalism
Initiative and self-motivated
Ability to grasp issues and offer innovative solutions
Ability to work independently, while also working seamlessly with Margin Department colleagues as well as senior management
Superior attention to detail in fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills
Strong working knowledge and ability to use technology, i.e., Excel, Access, Microsoft Office Suite products and PDF software
