Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs and layouts for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to produce high-quality schematics and layouts using advanced design software. The Electrical Designer will collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Develop and produce electrical schematics, layouts, and system designs using CAD software.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant standards in all designs.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, NavisWorks, Creo, and Revit for design documentation and project coordination.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during the construction phase of projects.
- Prepare detailed documentation for project submittals, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and deliverables to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software is required; experience with Revit is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, layout design, and system design principles.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and standards applicable to electrical design.
- Experience with Bluebeam, NavisWorks, Creo, or similar tools is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design issues effectively.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
