Overview
Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service to assure continuous production as scheduled.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment per machine service instructions or plant equipment schedule during assigned production shift.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during assigned production shift, and when “on call.”
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Repair and re-build a variety of production and processing equipment. Perform machine mechanic duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Perform building maintenance as needed for the office and plant.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Comply with all OSHA Safety and Health rules and wear personal protective equipment at all times as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Apprenticeship program preferred.
- Two or more years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Must have knowledge of email and preventative maintenance database systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
