Overview
Responsible for leading the operation of manufacturing to ensure production requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Operate and/or lead the operation of machinery in manufacturing.
- Setup, operate, troubleshoot and maintain machines in manufacturing.
- Monitor machine operators for waste issues. Make recommendations to reduce waste when able.
- Ensure workstations are kept neat and orderly.
- Determine staffing levels needed for department.
- Schedule and coordinate production to meet required shipping schedules.
- Record all completed work on company approved/required documents.
- Assist other departments and employees as needed.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Two to four years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- Forklift Certification required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
- Must be able to complete and pass required competencies after training and maintain acceptable levels upon annual reviews.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to walk, stand, reach and bend.
