What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operational Architect position at JANUS Research Group LLC?
Develop Operational Business Architectural products IAW the DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) to include descriptions of critical operational activity sequences to support Army warfighting functions. Conduct equipment gap analysis, and propose solutions that translate operational concepts into relevant information to support Army processes across DOTMLPF domains. Analyze requirements against architecture artifacts and enterprise services, ensuring alignment with client's strategic direction and Army/DoD policies and guidance. Recommend architecture development priorities IAW Army planned Force design updates.
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop multiple architecture products to include Army Brigade, Division, and Theater level architectures supporting the Futures Integration Directorate and the Army Futures Command.
- Collaborate and establish working relationships with diverse Subject Matter Experts (as needed) to ensure effective architecture development, validation, and analysis outcomes
- Support the Army's Force Management process through the documentation of Army Force Structure and equipment assignments.
- Ensure integration of enterprise architecture information and process with operations, change management, configuration management, and service management processes.
- Communicate “fit for purpose” complex architecture analysis into high quality documents and presentations for a variety of audiences
- Perform quality assurance/quality control, integrate disparate architectures and translate raw data into operational based architecture.
- Work closely with AIMD Data Stewards to maintain data dictionary and data lineage
- Attend the bi-weekly Integrated Architecture Data Standards (IADS) Working Group as needed
Experience and Education:
- Ten years of experience in developing DODAF products utilizing various modeling tools (i.e., System Architect, Proforma Pro-Vision, Magic Draw).
- Five years of experience in verifying the alignment of United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) and Military Sealift Command (MSC) systems with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) through continual tracking as part of the Annual System and Security Reviews and accreditation
- Three years of experience with building DODAF compliant architectures in Magic Draw.
- Six years of experience with developing DODAF artifacts in System Architect.
- Proficiency in the Navy’s DoD IT Portfolio Repository (DITPR) DON System.
- Ten years in preparing presentation graphics and support the development of various deliverables and reports by developing graphic presentations to improve the visualization of various diagrams and DODAF artifacts.
- Four years of experience working with CNRC, BUPERS, and NETC subject matter experts (SME) and other architects to re-engineer business processes using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
- Experience in supporting the Joint Staff J6 Architect Division for mission-based analysis efforts in support of mission thread architecture consisting of DODAF views (i.e., AV-1 & 2; OV-1, 2, 3, 4, 5b & 6c; CV-1 & 2; SV-1, 2, 4, 6 & 10c).
- Six years of experience with developing DODAF artifacts in System Architect.
