Job Duties:
Propose changes to current applications and databases based on organizational requirements
Recommend modernization options for data hosting, cleansing, transport, exposure, and ingestion at an enterprise scale
Suggest modernization strategies focusing on performance, security, and cost-effectiveness, with the ability to manage large volumes of diverse enterprise datasets while identifying authoritative sources and reducing duplication
Oversee enhancements and improvements to current data systems technology and processes, including data access authorizations against enterprise-approved user attributes
Manage operations and maintenance of databases in cloud infrastructure
Support representatives in cloud environment purchase, engineering, and architecture-related activities for applications and databases
Design and create database systems enabling efficient data storage and retrieval
Ensure smooth and secure operation of enterprise database systems
Collaborate with team members, external stakeholders, and data stewards to define the current state of organizational data
Build optimized data models for data warehouse reporting
Required Skills:
Proven experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and modern database technologies
Demonstrated proficiency in Tableau, COGNOS, and contemporary reporting presentation tools
Experience in testing and quality assurance of developed solutions within existing Oracle data tiers
Expertise in developing, creating, and modifying data structures and load routines for analytic use cases
Strong background in working with relational data tiers, including cleansing, transforming, and processing structured data
Proficiency in working with views, triggers, and Oracle PL/SQL
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services environments, including RDS, S3, etc.
Desired Skills:
Experience with IMMUTA data policy
Familiarity with various data repository types (e.g., relational, NoSQL, distributed processing frameworks)
Experience in creating and interfacing with REST APIs
