Software Developer (Systems Engineer) - Mclean VA

Job Duties :

  • Develop and customize applications for data analysis
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and microservices
  • Design and implement database schemas and ETL workflows
  • Create and maintain CI / CD pipelines
  • Develop web applications and user interfaces
  • Document system architecture and technical specifications
  • Support data scientists in model deployment and optimization
  • Optimize connectivity between cloud and on-premises systems
  • Manage and provision cloud compute resources

Mandatory Skills :

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and PL / SQL
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS), including S3, RDS, and EC2
  • Expertise in SQL database management (MySQL and PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and Apache NiFi
  • Proficiency with Git version control
  • Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, Flask)
  • Container orchestration experience (Docker)
  • Experience with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, Jira, Confluence)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Expertise in automated testing and deployment
  • Experience with Anaconda and Bash
  • User-centered design and web usability expertise

    • Desired Skills :

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering
  • Experience with distributed computing and parallel processing
  • Strong problem-solving and solution architecture abilities
  • Experience in supporting data science teams with AI / ML model deployment
  • Knowledge of Tableau integration with cloud services
  • Experience with data management lifecycles
  • Strong project prioritization abilities
  • Experience working in analytical mission environments
  • Team collaboration and coordination skills
